I am looking at a 1996 Cub Cadet 7274. It has 353 hours on it, comes with a C.C. loader (5' bucket), heated cab, 5' snowblower, 5' box scraper, 2-bottom plow, disc harrows, and tire chains. It has industrial tires on it. It is being sold by the original owner -- not a dealer. He is asking $15,500.

I am looking for my first compact tractor. I have 15 acres in Vermont (about 5 of which is fields), and a 750' driveway that I'd like to take care of myself. I've been researching and looking for a while, and was pretty much set on a JD 770 or 790. One of the features I like about the JD's is the mid-PTO with a shaft-driven, front-mounted snowblower.

This Cub Cadet seems to be worth looking at, so I'm going to check it out tomorrow. Can anyone help me with comparisons to the JD's? How about the price -- does it seem fair? Are the Cub's easy to service? How about availability of parts? There are two Cub dealers w/in 20 miles of my house... Any help would be appreciated. Thanx!

I have a 1999 CC 7260. It's a very similar model to what you are looking at. Parts are no problems for CC. I don't know where in VT you are located, but my dealer in Milton VT is excellent to deal with, knows these tractors, and stands behind his work. I've had real good luck with my tractor. It has been a great tractor
Parts are no problem,plus its a real workhorse ....

I have a 7275 and its a geat tractor. Your price with all the equipment sure seems fair to me. Just check new prices with all those features and see what you come up with. I'd love to have that heated cab here in MN the last couple days. I have not found parts to be a problem but I only have needed filters etc. Regards PJ ....
